The Council on Aging Office is closing on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 for our move back to the Cameron Senior Center. We will open for the general public on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 8:00 am at 20 Pleasant St.

Vision

To improve the quality of life for Westford residents who are aged 60 or older and to provide services, advocacy and information.

Mission Statement

The Cameron Senior Center is a focal point where older adults come together for services and activities that reflect their expertise and skills, respond to their diverse needs and interests, enhance their dignitiy, support their independence and encourage their involvement in and with the center and community.

The temporary address for the Senior Center is 10 Church St in the Graniteville section of Westford. We are on the ground floor of the United Methodist Church with the entrance in the back of the Church. Our mailing address and phone remain the same.

PTBCAs of Labor Day, the construction continues to proceed along on schedule.  The concrete foundations for the new addition has been completed, and most of the structural steel has been installed.  Construction crews are working connect the new steel frame to the existing building and pour the new floors of the addition.  The interior of the existing building has been gutted and the new partition walls have been partially installed.  For site work, the new septic and drainage systems have been completely installed and the ballfield has been relocated.  The ballfield has been regraded and loamed.  Within the next two weeks, the entire site will get seeded and hopefully have a new green lawn by the end of October.  The contractor also hopes to have the new parking lot paved by the end of September.
